Hair loss, known medically as alopecia, is common. It’s estimated, for instance, that around fifty percent of women over the age of 65 experience female-pattern baldness – the most common type of hair loss, which is thought to be inherited. Two-thirds of all men will eventually be affected by male pattern baldness — in the UK, this means that 7.4 million men are losing their hair at any one time. On this show, we’ll be discussing hair loss, treating hair loss, and how you can care for your hair.
