Jay Morjaria is founder and Executive Chef of Sutra Kitchen, Central London’s first meat free cooking school located in Carnaby St, London. Chef Jay has a passion for healthy, globally inspired food and making it widely accessible; he regularly appears on BBC Radio London as a guest chef and food expert and was on Radio 4 doing a breakfast cook off with Chef Giancarlo Caldesi earlier this year. Additionally he is also hosting the Cookery Demonstration Theatre at Vegfest 2013 in Brighton, Bristol and London and has been doing live cooking demonstrations at the Chef’s Theatre for the Real Food Festival, Alchemy Festival and the Natural Organic Show. He is also confirmed for the Foodies Festival in June alongside the likes of Jun Tanaka, Shelina Permalloo and Ed Baines. He prides himself on creating innovative dishes using unique flavour combinations and bringing vegetables to the centre stage. His recent demonstrations have included dishes such as butter poached radishes with a cauliflower aioli, aubergine steaks marinated in smoked paprika with a fennel and wild garlic salsa and a beetroot and orange carpaccio with a pistachio crumble.
